Heritage Days 2025!

Heritage Days is a countywide festival weekend celebrating the historic, cultural, and outdoor recreation sites in Montgomery County, Maryland. Celebrating its 26th anniversary, Heritage Days highlights local arts and culture, as well as outdoor recreation, including hiking, biking and walking tours. Immerse yourself in the stories of the Civil War, agriculture, local railroads and trolleys, African American communities, and so much more. To learn more, visit HeritageMontgomery.org.

Sandy Spring Friends Meeting is proud to once again participate in Heritage Days. As the ending point of the Underground Railroad Experience Trail, our over-200-year-old Meeting House is steeped in history. Take a tour of the Meeting House and our historic graveyard. Relax in our beautiful grounds, under the shade of our 122-foot yellow poplar. Pick up a plant at our native plant giveaway, sponsored by Friends in Unity with Nature.

Sunday, June 29. Noon-4:00 PM. Light refreshments will be provided.
