BeFriending Creation with Permaculture
On Sunday, October 29 at 12:30pm join Beverly Ward, Quaker Earthcare Witness, for an introduction to permaculture and how individuals and communities can use permaculture to better sustain our planet. This discussion will be hosted at the Sandy Spring Friends Lyceum (17715 Meeting House Road, Sandy Spring, MD) and will be available live on Zoom. Click here to join.
Permaculture is a design system for sustainable living based on a core of ethical principles deeply aligned with Quaker testimonies. Beverly will introduce principles of permaculture design and describe ways to bring these principles into practice in our gardens (small and large) and our lives.
Quaker Earthcare Witness is a network of Friends (Quakers) in North America working on Earthcare concerns. They work to inspire Spirit-led action toward ecological sustainability and environmental justice. For over 30 years, they have helped Friends integrate Earthcare into their daily lives.
